Trends come and go but these are the street-style staples we have seen time and time again. From velvet chokers to beyond distressed jeans, celebrities and fashion lovers alike can be found pulling off a combination of these looks.
The little plastic 90’s choker we saw reemerging in the past few years only lasted a millisecond in the fashion timeline and yet we have not seen the last of the choker. The fabric velvet choker has become a popular alternative; often rocked with a plunging neckline. For a more delicate look, the wrap around choker has also made an appearance. It almost resembles the likings of a shoestring necktie. Some of these eye-catching accessories are hitting the market for big $$, but if you ask me, this seems like an easy Etsy dupe or a good DIY project for the weekend.
Desi Perkins slayyyyyys in this lacy style. Heels are getting more twisted, with lots of strappy accents, tie-ups, and height. Desi reps both a neutral cool-toned look, as well as a dark and sexy night-time ensemble.
Hats Hats Hats
Neutral hats, leather hats, and hats with no logos have us saying hallelujah on bad hair days. Adding a hat to the right outfit can pull the biker look or casual day-wear look together in an instant. @Lustrelux shows us how its done in her white and camel coloured caps. You can also get your hands on the black leather snapback from Aritzia at their website.
The biker jacket has stayed a staple for years and lately they have been structured, detailed, and caped over the shoulders of looks with ripped black jeans and booties.
We might be unsure if we can really call these ones pants, but sure enough the rips are getting so intense jeans are essentially becoming shorts. Light washed jeans are getting shredded and then made formal with heels and elegant jackets. If you think a pair of jeans have seen their last days, then think again, run them through a paper shredder, and you’re sure enough to be rocking the latest street style.
The translucent top is an eye-catching way to show off cleavage. From a distance this high-neck, long sleeved shirt would appear to be just that, but up close it is the perfect way to show off a detailed bra or undershirt. In these below-freezing temperatures you can keep a long-sleeved shirt sexy with this new style (although we don’t promise how warm you will be).
